Worsham College wants you to be successful in your course work. The college utilizes the nationally recognized ACCUPLACER tests of reading and mathematics as a criteria for acceptance into the accelerated online program. This exam is required for online students that do not meet the other following admission requirements:

Graduate from high school in the Top 25% of graduating class
OR Completed 12 non-remedial college credits from a regionally accredited college with a cumulative GPA greater than 2.0
OR SAT combined score of 1000
OR ACT composite score of 20

ACCUPLACER scores determine a student’s readiness for college level courses.  Our goal is to ensure proper placement into the online program based on your academic readiness.  There is no charge to take the ACCUPLACER test (up to 2 attempts).  Test results are valid for 5 years.

If a student’s results do not indicate readiness for Worsham, the student is encouraged to take developmental courses prior to seeking admission.  The program director will discuss recommended options with the student.

NOTE: This test is only used for students seeking admission to the online Associate of Science degree.  All students are required to have some college prior to enrolling in the on-campus Associate of Applied Science Degree and on-campus Diploma programs.

When will I need to take the ACCUPLACER test?
  • After completion of the Worsham College Associate of Science Degree application, you may then schedule your test.
  • The test must be completed before the student can be admitted into the program.
  • Remember this is only necessary should the student not meet the other admission criteria.
